The Story
El Miami is colorful, magnetic and exotic. Upholding tradition while embracing modernity and looking towards the future, El Miami wears with style and pride a dress of Cuban influence and energy, covered with the shimmering colours of a sunset by the ocean.
Outstanding ornamental patterns of Queen Palms are intricately embroidered on her dress as the source of heat, life-giving force of the Earth. A metaphor of a thriving woman who, just like a Queen Palm, is meant to survive unexpected troubles, grow to reach incredible heights and forge a bright golden palm's crown on top of her head that may slip, but never falls.
Just like the "Magic City," El Miami carries the symbol of stars, beacons of hope — shining lights that guide the way. She's got a magical and inspiring presence.
The artist has her own unique approach to the traditional art of embroidery that she infuses with modern elements and a quirky touch. Azaïdé sincerely believes that the embroidered garments protect her female characters from troubles and give them the power to show their true self and shine brighter.
